Quote of the Week:
I will shut up when I die, or when the problems are fixed, whichever comes first."

chicks make the case against their being allowed to have "rights" with every word, spoken and written.
Wow, you sound just like a feminist, since you deem yourself a worthy judge of who should or shouldn't be "allowed" to have rights. Fuck you too.
when you look at the destruction wrought, is there any other conclusion one can come too?
I'm sorry I was rude.It is not "rights" that are being abused, it is privilege. Women did not accomplish this monstrosity without a great deal of assistance from men. Should we take away men's rights to give privilege to women? Should we go back to only allowing property owners to vote? Or raise the voting age again? Female suffrage is harmless without male complicity. Women have always had exactly as much power as men have permitted, with or without the vote. It is men who have to re-learn to think through the consequences of their actions, because most women aren't capable of doing it consistently. If we were as rational as men, we'd have used the vote to create our own wealth (as was originally intended) rather than to take wealth away from men. Instead we convinced men to give us their wealth willingly.Rescinding female suffrage would only make feminism more powerful, by giving credence to the claim that we have no agency and are therefore helpless oppressed victims. If men reclaim their rights however, women will be forced into accountability, and be forced to give up our privilege.
Actually a couple things with the vote would help. Sex and race neutral of course. Up the age to 30 would be one. Paying of a certain amount of Income tax per year or Income tax of a certain amount over a number of years. Both give a person time to be a liberal liberal, get it over with and join reality. The other makes sure they know the value of working and what it actually costs for all that 'free stuff'.Then also nailing down citizen rights compared to those of immigrants and getting immigrants to give five to tens years of service to the country before being allowed to vote. Obviously they would have to be legal first.Suz, I don't mean to be pedantic, but one of the things that should be abolished in any Democratic society is the idea of 'victim groups'. They push and prod, not to get equality or responsibility but to get more cookies from the cookie jar at the expense of those that earned the cookies. I'm afraid that the more I think about it, feminism and civil rights wasn't about equality but about corrupting the system to such an extent that voting itself is pointless and the those with the levers can pass whatever they need to be getting their 'victim groups' to push an agenda.
That's not pedantic, NG, that's the truth. Women were never oppressed, but not having the vote was a way they could claim they were. And it has been a long long time since feminism has fought for equality.
Well maybe 'pedantic' wasn't the right word. I don't claim to know everything but this stuff does seem to become clearer as times goes on. And no more swear words, ya hear? Naughty! Except for Man Boobs, Jezebel or that Hugo geezer, then it's F-bombs away!
Hey if I wasn't naughty, this blog would be booooring!;)
I find your use of swear words refreshing :DAnd you have every right to be naughty - its your blog and therefore your party.Great job by the way! (two thumbs up)
